((OOC Reasons for the existence of the Bloods:))

   ((When I first came online I had no idea about the intricacies of the online gaming world. I went about blindly attempting to build sl’s with others that would lead somewhere other than into the bedroom and eventually into a marriage where then the happy sn’s retired and new ones were created. Or into what I now call the Guildy games. Fighting wars can be fun, but most guilds neglect rp for the dice and to me this is not what I want to spend my time online doing. I wanted more out of gaming than pick-ups at the RDI, or HM’s with another guilds gamers of equal ranks. But online gaming did not offer this.

   There were no NPC’s; ie: non-player characters, who were mine to help enhance and build my characters. No GM to help define rules and create bad guys to overcome… None of what table top gaming offered was available online unless you did it in postings. A boring way when confronted with the desire to role play as there is little rp in a posting thread created and controlled by only you and your sn’s needs. And lets face reality; Very few read the postings and those who do may not recognize the significance or meaning of the events and situations that are confronted.

   With the creation of the Bloods sl, not only did it offer a place for the offline table top gaming group to play together, it also gave us a launching pad to build sl’s that all within our group could benefit from. Many of the offline players in our gaming group were new to online gaming, the environment was nothing like the table top gaming we had done.

   The Bloods were our effort to bring a touch of our favorite place, BorderTown, online and offer us a haven to build our stories. (This, btw, is what the Inner Circle is formed upon: players who have spent years gaming together offline have gotten together online and we build sl’s for all within our group to enjoy. Time and energy not to mention resources are pooled together so that we might grant your characters a chance to grow and give you the players a little fun in the process. Call it elitist if you will, call it wrong if you must… But know that it isn’t a conspiracy to hurt or damage anyone. It is merely a collection of players willing to offer up their time to make your gaming online more enjoyable.)

   Ok, the Bloods are not as cohesive as maybe they could be. We are not like the guilds or other associations online. We don’t have a slew of rules our characters must follow to play within our structure. We do not have a goal or absolute focus to put all our energies into. We don’t have the most unique premise for online gaming, but the Mafia sl is very open ended.

   It was an idea we had that we used to build the Bloods; Your character can be what you want and do what you want, and on those days when you have nothing better to do, we hope to offer up an sl your character can jump into and the player will have a chance to have fun and rp. At least that was and is our goal. To let you do as you want and still offer up a collective sl for your enjoyment.

   We try to tailor your needs to fit into the sl’s we build. We can not offer up an sl to suit just your sn, but we can work on your character and its growth as we exploit the pasts and presents of those within our collection of characters.

   We use OOC as the tool it should be. The more about your sl you share with us, the more we can work with you to create a more enjoyable gaming environment for all of us. If we each get a little something out of the IC frays then those who have worked hard to bring this to you are satisfied. All we ask in return is that you work with us.

   Please remember: When there is one NPC, it is hard for that player to catch all that is happening in the room when under attack by many. Grant those of us trying to give you this chance to rp the understanding that we are merely human and can not catch every detail. Bear with us, and we will do all we can to give you the chance for your character to shine.
